Israeli opposition leader, Tzipi Livni, rains down like a meteor
on the dinosaurs:
Opposition leader Tzipi Livni said Monday that the only way to maintain the National Home is by adopting and implementing the two-state vision. She added that it is not about doing a favor for others, not even for the United States' president.
In a speech before the Jewish lobby of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Livni said it was the policy of the last three governments, and this policy is not anti-Israeli, adding this policy is imperative to the interests of Israel. Update:
What does it say about the state of the debate, when the leader of Israel's largest political party (although in the opposition, Kadima has 28 seats in the Knesset to Likud's 27) comes to the US and at this late stage has to explain to thousands of politically engaged Jewish Americans that a two-state solution is in Israel's interest?
